The Dead Poet society is a drama film which was released in 1989, John Keating played by late Robin Williams as an English teacher, showcased a new and unique philosophy on teaching.John Keating style of teaching focused on giving his student enough creativity and ideas so they could think outside the box.He was a great example of how teacher should teach their student by not only focusing on their books but encouraging their student to pursue their own goals and foster environment of curiosity.
The dead poet society is an movie about an English professor (played by the great Robin Williams) who's teaching method was very unique which didn't only focused on the books but encourage his student to think in different way and make their own ideas. He always pushed his student to question the status, rather then blindly accepting the moral structure around them.By not prescribing the old archaic forms of teaching, Keating instead pushed his student to pursue significant change and their own happiness rather than the validation of their father. Keating's style of teaching was so transcendent because it didn't allow impressionable young men and women to dominated by the unquestionable ideas. One day as he was teaching he referred to a society called Dead Poets in which they formed a group of poet and shared their unique poem and ideas. It encouraged and inspired Neil Perry (played by Ethan Hawks) a promising young man who is deeply invested in the class and own passions.Unfortunately, his father opposed him seeking extra-curricular learning that could compromise his expectation of Neil becoming a doctor.Neil opposes that future for himself but lack of ability to stand for himself against his father leads to a great loss.Neil gather all his fellow mates and reopened the Dead Poet Society. He takes the risk to try out for local theater production of a mid summer's night dream, knowing that his father would not approve.Ultimately he does a great job, his father shows up and take him home and tells him to quite acting which end up by Neil taking his own life.
The cast of this movie, John Keating played by late Robin Williams is speechless. He had an humongous impact on my life and he could never be forgotten from the film industry as long as it remains.Though he is gone but he keep on inspiring us through his divine acting.
"But only in their dreams can man be truly free, twas always thus and always will be''
The Dead Poet society was a heartbreaking yet inspiring film which teaches us to live our life in our own way and make it extraordinary.
