The man who knew infinity is an documentary movie of an Indian mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan that ever lived, his contribution to the analytical theory of numbers and worked on elliptic functions, continued fraction and infinite series spawned the whole field of study,even up to 100 years of his death.His life story inspire mathematicians around the globe.People come people go, but there are some who continued to live by their contribution to human kind,Srinivasa Ramanujan was one of them.

In 22 December 1887 a mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan (played by Dev Patel) was in Kumbakonam, India.He was a son of clothes merchant and his mother was a singer in local temple and belong to orthodox family.He was unexpectedly gifted from young age, by the age of 13 he had discovered most of modern trigonometry by himself.Ramanujan brilliance earned him a scholarship to attend college but it didn't ended quite good for him, he was so engrossed in mathematics he didn't paid much attention towards other subjects and failed.At that time India was under the rule of British and searching for a job was not a easy task however through lots of struggle he got a low level accounting job that earned him barely enough income to live.He used to spent day time working and night discovering ground breaking mathematical theorems.Unable to share his discoveries and explain their importance to those around, he started sending letters to renowned mathematicians at that time but nobody responded until G.H. Hardy (played by Jeremy Irons) examined, the mathematics Ramanujan included in his letters left him speechless.Ramanujan left India to join Hardy in England and publish his discoveries, the relation between the two, a devoted guy and a formal experience in higher education who happened to be a atheist rise bound in a small time and push past their differences manage to jointly publish 30 paper based on Ramanujan work, overcoming impossible odds.But it didn't lasted long Ramanujan health destructed due to lack of vegetarian food during the WW II, he feel ill of malnutrition.He returned to India and spent his last days with his wife and family and died at the age of 32 in 1990.

The cast of this movie are amazingly great Ramanujan played by Dev Patel fits the character and his acting is mind blowing we have seen his work in movie like Slumdog millionaire,the road within etc.G.H. Hardy played by Jeremy Irons played his role so perfect that it create an emotional connection with the character.
