Life of Pi is an adventure, fantasy movie released in 2012, based on the book "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel which tells us the story about a Indian boy, Piscine Molitor Patel, from Pondicherry (now Puducherry) who is born in Hindu but is also a Muslim and Christian.He believes in god and sees a kind soul in every one even in wild animals.In his journey he came across terrific event, he loses his family in a ship wreck and finds himself in a life boat with some animals.The journey tells the story of survival and faith in god.

The story begins with a small family that owned a zoo in the beautiful town of Pondicherry. The main character young Piscine (played by Suraj Sharma) lived in typically small town.As the story progress, their zoo goes broke and Piscine aka Pi father decide to take his family and valuable animals to Canada.In a series of fall, a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena, and the tiger.They tumbled into the boat and started their journey in  the vast ocean. Tragedy strikes several days in the journey and an immense storm strikes their ship which separated Pi from his family however he manages to climb into a life boat, where he was able to ride out the storm. So, as the weather clears Pi discovered that he was not only one who manage to escape that horrific event.As days passes it quickly becomes clear that neither the tiger (Richard Parker name given Pi) nor Pi has any plans to leave the safety of the boat however he manages to stay on the boat, weeks passes he run out of food and water.He started fishing and create a small raft through the material in the life boat and sign of hope started to emerge in his mind.Within time, slowly a mutual relationship started to engage between them.Boy and the tiger learn from each other, and started adapting in their own, to their situation.Pi spends 227 days drifting across the pacific in a life boat with a Bengal tiger and survived through his courage, spirit and faith in god.

The cast of this movie, Young Pi played by Suraj Sharma is extraordinary and manage to engage us into the movie without any distraction and middle age Pi played by late Irrfan Khan is always great and fun to watch. The movie style, remarkable performance and the animations take this movie to next level.

I personally recommend this movie to give it a try because it can give us the motivation to never give up and face every situation in our journey.
